(ANSAmed) - PARIS, APRIL 30 - A 150-euro fine for women who choose to wear the full Muslim veil, while men - who force them to cover themselves from head to toe - risk one year in prison and a 15,000-euro fine. This is what is reportedly contained in a draft law on a complete ban to the burqa in public places put together by the French government, reports Le Figaro today.
Belgian lawmakers vote to ban full-face veils in public
PARIS — Belgian lawmakers on Thursday passed a nationwide ban prohibiting women from wearing full-face Islamic veils in public places, the first move of its kind in Western Europe.
The unanimous vote in the lower house of Parliament came in response to growing irritation in Belgium and other West European countries over the increasing numbers and visibility of Muslims whose customs and attitudes often present a challenge to the continent’s largely Christian heritage.

Jack could care less and most Americans could care less what they wear … unless they go in a bank, got to court, get a drivers license, passport … you get the idea. Basically when they HAVE to be identified. Then crying you can’t see my face invoking religion won’t cut it … give it up. That would be a reasonable approach to the problem.
