Rush was wrong saying don’t give them a dime. That’s what the US does. It gives. But as always BEWARE of what agency/charity you donate your hard earned money to. Do your homework. More often than not a person close to the needy is no more than a scam … case in point Wyclef Jean Foundation, Inc. a/k/a the Yele Haiti Foundation. This is a case of the “charity” pocketing most of the money that is supposed to be going to help the needy.
Other examples are these which Jack doesn’t doubt the money goes to some needy person but it may not be the people that you think and diverting funds to causes you may deplore. They may be doing it for other reasons than simply helping the needy.
Jack suggest you help. Help all you can … just do your homework and know who you are helping. Some Hip Hop pimp or Hamas front group or worse … doesn’t need your help!
Oh and NEVER give a dime for anything that’s affilated with the United Nations. Your US tax dollars already pay for 25% of the UN cost that is a total waist. Damn guess Jack and Rush do have something in common.
