Wealthy tourists from the Persian Gulf are paying to marry under-age Egyptian girls just for the summer, according to a report.
These temporary marriages are not legally binding and end when the men return to their homes in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. The tourists pay a ‘dowry’ to poor families through intermediaries with prices ranging from £320 to £3,200.
Both sunni and shite muslims have their own version of these “temporary marriages.”
Mohammad himself allowed this when muslims went off to war. Hey you can’t be just bonking these women! Givem a few bucks and we’ll call it a “temporary marriage.” Allah told me he would be cool that.
Disclaimer: Jack has no problem with two consenting adults having sex. Jack does have a problem with giving these brides a few bucks and not calling it what it is … prostitution islamic style.
And no doubt the younger these girls were the more money they demanded … and the Arabs were more than glad to pay.
