Why does this asshole still have his job?

World Health Organization Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus

Not the one on the right. We all know why he still has his job. Jack is asking about the one on the left.

‘Tedros praised China’s handling even though they silenced whistleblowers and prevented World Health Organisation officials from investigating the outbreak in its early weeks,’ said Kristine Lee, China analyst at an influential US think-tank.

‘There is a clear narrative coming out of the WHO that panders to Xi Jinping’s view about his country’s handling of coronavirus.’

AS THIS virus sparks global catastrophe, there are growing fears that the man leading a crucial international organisation heavily funded by the US and Britain is promoting Chinese interests.

‘It is pretty much clear he is a shield for Beijing,’ said a senior British Cabinet source. ‘His comments congratulating China for exemplary handing of the crisis are not borne out by the reality of events.’

This is what happens when politics are more important than lives. Let Jack give you a quick summary …

1. China to WHO … No WHO cannot come in to China to investigate … TRUST US!
2. China to WHO … we have silenced whistleblowers and reporters … and don’t say a word about it!
3. China to WHO … Now lets have that glowing assessment of our efforts to keep this shit under wraps.

4. Who to China … OK.

Sad to say but that is pretty much how all of the UN works. But this is not the first corruption run in with the Directer of WHO.

The Guardian has learned that the allegations include claims that funds intended for the Ebola outbreak in west Africa were misused, with staff fabricating a mission so that a senior employee’s girlfriend, a junior professional, could join him during the Ebola response.

It has also been claimed that, during an Ebola outbreak in DRC last year, a plane was hired to transport three vehicles from a warehouse in Dubai at the cost of $1m (£773,000). Tarik Jašarevi?, a spokesperson for the WHO, rebutted the claim, and said the agency had shipped 10 vehicles from Dubai in May because “there were no vehicles available for sale in DRC that met minimum UN safety standards at the time”. Jašarevi? said the cost of transporting the vehicles was $237,801.
