Jack’s not a big movie goer these days. He’ll go to one if it looks really good and has actors/actresses that he likes in them. This movie he would go and see. He’d like to see the faces of the people in the theater and get their thoughts of the movie. He’d like to ask them if they think this portrays Islam or they think this is just a cutural thing.
When Jack has asked most muslims if this is Islam, most said NO … that’s the local culture. The thing is … this is exactly what Mohammed commanded as a punishment for adultery in the hadith (and a hadith that majority of Islamic schools of jurisprudence teach today) … STONING TO DEATH! Given that Jack wanders why he gets the answer … that’s local culture?
So when a muslim tells you that’s a cultural thing … Google the word “taqiyya“.
